Biobarrier®
For only pennies per square foot per month, Biobarrier® Root Control System offers guaranteed protection against root damage to landscapes and hardscapes, damage that is estimated to cost more than $100 million per year in the United States. Architects, contractors, urban foresters, building managers and city public works departments benefit from the prevention of root damage through reduced maintenance costs and the elimination of liability issues.

Terram®
TERRAM® manufactures a range of thermally bonded nonwoven geotextiles that have been used in civil engineering projects for forty years. TERRAM® geotextiles are used for many applications throughout the construction industry including separation, reinforcement, drainage and erosion control. Many major projects globally, including road, rail, building, landfill and bridges have made use of the distinct property advantages of TERRAM® geotextiles.

Filtram
TERRAM® Filtram products are a range of geocomposites for use in a wide range of drainage applications including roads, buildings, bridges, tunnels, buried structures and landfill.
Drainage composites are prefabricated products which directly replace conventional gravel fill. They normally consist of a number of components including a three dimensional core to act as the drainage medium combined with filter fabrics or impermeable sheets.
TERRAM® also has the ability to manufacture bespoke composites to meet the customers exact material performance requirements.

Geocells
TERRAM® Geocells are the result of extensive in-house research and testing. They consist of a three dimensional geotextile ‘honeycomb’ structure designed to provide soil stabilisation across a number of civil engineering applications including access roads over soft ground, soil retention on steep slopes and vertical earth retention structures. The system works by confining the soils within the, strong yet flexible, structure of the cells.
In the right applications Geocells can offer a cost effective alternative to ‘traditional’ construction techniques.

Geosand
TERRAM® Geosand has been developed with Burdens and Network Rail to solve the issue of pumping erosion in track construction. It allows sand to be sandwiched with a blanket structure, thereby allowing installation of a layer of consistent thickness. This allows a much thinner layer of sand to be applied than conventional methods thus reducing costs. it allows the particulate material to be positioned and installed in a much quicker and efficient manner than traditional construction methods.

Permanent Way
TERRAM® geosynthetics have been successfully used within the rail industry for at least 25 years. The materials are extensively used for separation of the track ballast from the sub-grade and for drainage throughout the track construction. Terram 4000 has been the industry standard for many years for assisting in the reduction of contamination of the track ballast.
Through consultation with the worldwide rail industry TERRAM® has developed a range of products to tackle the complex problems associated with soil and ballast separation.

Landscaping
TERRAM® offer a full range of innovative products for many landscaping applications; this includes weed control, tree root control, tree root protection and erosion control. The products are available through our national distribution network or through our newly launched direct sales website (www.terramlandscape.com).

Melfab

TERRAM® manufacture a wide range of technical textiles under the brand name Melfab. Applications include air and water filtration products, coated products, specialist garden and horticultural products, and products for clothing and footwear.

Typar®/Tekton®
100% polypropylene nonwoven used in automotive, geotextile, carpet backing, housewrap, filtration media, agriculture, landscaping.

Typar Matrix™ 3-D Geotextiles
An innovative product that can provide effective sediment control on work sites and help achieve lower turbidity levels in construction stormwater runoff.  Typar Matrix 3-D cells can also provide protection for flood control, replacing sandbags and requiring less labor to fill than sandbags.

Typar Matrix 3D Geotextiles is a cellular system made of a strong, yet permeable geotextile material. Once expanded, simply fill up the honeycomb “cells” with suitable fill material to provide structural support. In minutes, Typar Matrix 3D Geotextiles provides a strong stabilization device that not only is structurally stable during rainfall events and floods, but also acts as a filter, dramatically reducing turbidity levels in construction stormwater runoff.

Typar® Defencell™ 3-D Geotextiles
The DefenCell system is a textile cellular containment system which is filled with locally available material (sand, gravel, dirt, stone). It can be used to build walls, barriers, fighting positions and field fortifications. Cell units are delivered in man-portable rolls. To deploy them they are unrolled, pulled out into shape, then filled.

Units are stacked on each other to increase height and are normally filled with plant or machinery but can be filled by hand.  Cell units are available in 3 sizes (known as T2, T3 and T4).Geosynthetics image
