Board Appointment

Fiberweb plc, the international nonwoven fabrics group, is pleased to announce that Steve Dryden has been appointed a non-executive director of Fiberweb with effect from 1st June 2009.
Mr Dryden has been the Group Finance Director of DS Smith Plc since April 2008. Prior to this he was Finance Director of Filtrona plc and has also held senior finance roles with Bunzl plc and Rolls-Royce plc. He began his career at Price Waterhouse where he qualified as a chartered accountant and he holds a B Eng in Chemical Engineering.
Mr Dryden will chair Fiberweb’s Audit Committee and will be a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Nomination Committee.
Fiberweb Chairman, Malcolm Coster, commented:
“I am very pleased that we have been able to attract an individual of Steve’s calibre and drive to join the Fiberweb Board. His experiences in international manufacturing, in specialty materials and in complex transactions, including a successful demerger, will be of great value to Fiberweb and complement well the existing line-up of non-executives.”
There are no other matters relating to the new director which would require disclosure under Listing Rules 9.6.13R.
